ELM Responsible Investments is proud to be a signatory of the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). The PRI is the leading global network of investors dedicated to understanding, integrating, and promoting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations in investment and ownership practices. The PRI network comprises more than 5000 worldwide signatories with a combined AUM of over $121 Trillion (USD).
“Our central philosophy as a company is to give investors options to invest in innovative, sustainable, and ethical companies while still achieving strong financial returns” said Jai Mirchandani, Founder and Portfolio Manager of ELM Responsible Investments. “After carefully considering the PRI, we realised that these principles align with our own, so it was a clear decision to become a signatory. We are excited to be an active member of this international community promoting responsible investments.”
The six key principles that make up the PRI are:
We will incorporate ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes.
We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices.
We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest.
We will promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry.
We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the Principles.
We will each report on our activities and progress towards implementing the Principles.
David Atkin, PRI CEO, said: "We are very pleased to welcome ELM Responsible Investments as a PRI signatory. By incorporating ESG factors in their investment and ownership decisions, investment managers play a critical role alongside asset owners in the responsible investment ecosystem in Oceania and around the world. We look forward to working with the team."
