Ethical Investment December Q4 24 Quarterly Report

Dear Investor,

I am pleased to announce the release of the December Q4 2024 Quarterly Report for our Funds. Please access the report via the button below, or see highlights below the fold.

Quarterly Highlights

The ELMRI ANZ Conviction Fund delivered strong returns for our investors, increasing 29.5% over the past year and 6.4% over the quarter. The fund has outperformed its benchmark by 18.1% over the past year and 7.2% over the quarter.

The ELM Responsible Investments Global Fund also delivered strong returns, increasing by 36.4% over the past year and 21.4% over the quarter. The fund has outperformed its benchmark by 5.6% over the past year and 9.5% over the quarter.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, central banks' continued monetary easing and declining inflation provided a favourable backdrop for equity markets, particularly for innovative companies in the areas of digitisation and artificial intelligence (AI).

Company Profiles

The report profiles key holdings that have driven fund performance over the quarter, including:

  • How Tesla’s breakthrough autonomous technology and record energy storage deployments are driving its leadership in clean energy innovation.

  • Why Joby Aviation’s regulatory milestones and Toyota-backed expansion efforts position it to revolutionise urban mobility with zero-emission air taxis.

  • How Cochlear’s strong growth in implant sales and R&D innovation continues to solidify its dominance in hearing healthcare.

  • Why Intuitive Surgical’s upcoming Da Vinci 5 system is set to redefine robotic surgery and accelerate global adoption.

  • How Xero’s subscriber growth and ARPU expansion are powering its global rise as the leading small business accounting platform.

  • Why Pro Medicus’s transformative imaging software and high-margin contracts are unlocking new potential in healthcare IT.

Conclusion

We are committed to investing in the most innovative and impactful growth companies and I am optimistic about the future potential of our investment strategies. I am pleased to note that our ANZ Conviction Fund has now surpassed it’s 5-year mark since its inception in October 2019 and is outperforming its benchmark over both short- and long-term periods, demonstrating the benefits of our long-term strategy.
